Holiday Cottage Birlingham, Worcs

The thatched village pub serves imaginative food, and there is also a good choice of pubs in nearby villages offering excellent food.

The village has a village only road so the cottage is located in a very peaceful spot, surrounded by thatched cottages. Birlingham is famous for asparagus when in season (23rd April -21st June), available from excellent farm shops in the locality when in season.

The River Avon is a short walk and fishing is available during the season.

Walking is excellent on nearby Bredon Hill and it is only a short drive to the Malvern Hills. There are also beautiful country walks around the river and through the village, with nearby wild-life sanctuaries.

The village church has a Norman arch and is renowned for the carpet of bulbs in the churchyard which were planted in the 19th Century. They are usually in full bloom during early spring.
